Tenuta Ferrata: art and wine in the heart of Mount Etna.

We are delighted to welcome Tenuta Ferrata to our selection, a splendid winery located in Castiglione di Sicilia, on the northern slope of Mount Etna, one of Italy’s most fascinating wine regions.

Born from the vision of the Virlinzi family, the estate features 22 hectares of vineyards immersed in volcanic rock and untouched nature. Situated at an altitude of approximately 650 meters, the vines are cultivated with full respect for tradition, the land, and biodiversity.

For you, we have selected four excellent expressions of the Etna terroir:

Etna Spumante DOC: A Metodo Classico made from 100% Nerello Mascalese, aged on the lees for 36 months, Brut dosage. The nose reveals a fine, complex bouquet of white flowers, white fruit, and delicate hints of bread crust. Fresh, persistent, and balanced on the palate, it wins you over sip after sip.

Cèneris Etna Bianco DOC: crafted from Carricante and Catarratto grapes, this is a fresh, savory white wine. Its aromatic profile is intriguing: crisp white and yellow fruit, citrus notes, white flowers, broom, and aromatic herbs. Its defining trait is a pronounced mineral ash note, from which it takes its name

Punta Drago Etna Rosso DOC: pure Nerello Mascalese harvested in October. Brilliant ruby red in color, it offers an elegant bouquet of red fruits, spices, and underbrush. Full-bodied, soft, and elegant on the palate, it is characterized by silky tannins.

Frevi Contrada Moscamento Etna Rosso DOC: 100% Nerello Mascalese from old bush vines (alberello) in Contrada Moscamento. A unique gem born in the vineyard even before the cellar, thanks to a rigorous selection of the finest grapes. It offers an elegant bouquet of red fruits, tobacco, and black pepper, standing out for its persistence and an excellent balance of freshness, structure, and softness.

Making Tenuta Ferrata’s bottles even more unique are the artistic labels designed by Sandra Virlinzi (known artistically as Sdrina), that brings bright colors and personality to every bottle.
