  • Description

Some stories are born from intuition, others from a dream. Castelveder is a story rooted in the heart of Franciacorta, on the hills of Monticelli Brusati, where in 1975 two visionaries, Renato Alberti and Elena Nulli, planted their first vines with confidence, convinced that this land held the secret of great sparkling wines. It was not a simple choice: at a time when Franciacorta was still far from becoming the sparkling wine excellence it is today, Renato and Elena made a pioneering decision, driven by passion, patience, and the desire to turn their intuition into reality. From that act began a long journey of study, experimentation, successes, and some uncertainties, where each harvest represented a new step toward an ideal harmony between nature and tradition. Over time, their wines have become an authentic expression of the territory: not just Franciacorta, but oenological portraits that tell the story of the landscape, culture, and sensitivity of those who inhabit it. Today, the torch is carried by the grandchildren, Camilla and Francesco, representing the third generation of the Alberti family. With passion and awareness, they lead the winery with a forward-looking vision, while remaining faithful to the values passed down by their grandparents: respect for the land, attention to detail, and a deep love for their work. In every bottle lives the same magic that inspired Renato and Elena, the same promise of authenticity and refinement. The estate covers 10 hectares of vineyards perfectly integrated into the rolling landscape of Monticelli Brusati. The unique microclimate and the geological mosaic of this part of Franciacorta provide ideal conditions to grow the noble grape varieties that give rise to Castelveder’s sparkling wines. Every choice, from the vineyard to the winery, is guided by the balance between nature and human expertise. At the heart of the property, carved into the white maiolica of the hill, lies the winery: a quiet, secluded place where the Franciacorta wines age for long months on the lees. Here, in darkness and silence, each bottle matures slowly, developing the subtle nuances that make Castelveder wines elegant, complex, and unmistakable. A story of family, land, and time, continuing today with the same passion it began with—sparkling wine after sparkling wine.
