  • Description

The Fietri Estate is located in the heart of Chianti Classico, in the village of Fietri, in the municipality of Gaiole in Chianti, province of Siena — a land renowned for its great wines and the perfect balance between nature and history. This estate was born in a place full of charm and history, which, after being nearly abandoned in the 1960s following the end of sharecropping contracts, experienced a revival in the 1980s thanks to the company’s determination and the renewed interest in Chianti Classico wines, accompanied by the development of a new agritourism model. The restoration was carried out with the utmost respect for agricultural traditions, not only through building renovations but also by maintaining the original layout of the countryside. In the 2000s, new vineyards were designed and planted, now covering 8 hectares, with the goal of producing high-quality wines. Since 2006, the estate has had a modern temperature-controlled winery, equipped with stainless steel tanks, allowing Winefication and bottling on-site. The aging area is equipped with oak barrels of 5, 7, and 18 hectoliters. The estate practices Organic Farming and produces wines from its own Sangiovese grapes, including Chianti Classico DOCG, Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG, the Rosato di Sangiovese IGT, and the red wine IGT “Dedicato a Benedetta”. Additionally, using Chardonnay and Viognier grapes, the white wine IGT “Hic et Nunc” is produced.
