Vinification
A wine resulting from a very careful selection of grapes, harvested in exceptional vintages, such as 2015. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature, with frequent pump-overs and extended skin maceration.
Aging
At the end of winemaking, the “vino fiore” is aged for at least 50 months in Slavonian oak barrels; five years after the harvest, it is bottled and continues aging in the bottle for an additional 6 months, as required by regulations.
Grape Variety
Sangiovese
Appearance
Ruby red in colour with garnet highlights.
Nose
Broad and rich aroma with hints of vanilla, violet, and notes of Marasca cherry.
Taste
On the palate, it is robust, with a smooth, persistent taste and velvety tannins. It releases a spicy aroma with hints of undergrowth.
